How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you — when you submit the contact form, place an order, or contact support — and, where you have an active service, automatically through the operation of that service (e.g. server logs). We do not knowingly collect personal information about you from third parties except where necessary for fraud or payment verification.

Why we collect, hold and use it

We collect and use personal information to: provide and manage the hosting services you order; verify payment and prevent fraud; respond to enquiries and provide support; send service and billing notices; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your information for direct marketing unless you have separately opted in, and you may opt out of any marketing communication at any time.

Disclosure of personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers our billing/order platform (WHMCS), payment processor, transactional email provider, and datacentre/infrastructure providers, solely to the extent needed to deliver your service
  • Law enforcement where required by Australian law or a valid law enforcement request
  • Professional advisers such as our accountant, where reasonably necessary

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Overseas disclosure

Some infrastructure or service providers we use may store or process data outside Australia (for example, a datacentre location chosen for your service, or an overseas-based software provider). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, to the extent practicable for a small business.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and rate-limited admin authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations, and resolve disputes. Where information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first. There is no charge for making a request, though we may charge a reasonable fee for giving access if permitted by law.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
